सोनीपत में 11 साल के बच्चे की स्विमिंग पूल में डूबकर मौत; प्रशासनिक लापरवाही पर उठे सवाल

जिले के नाहरी गांव में बने एक फार्म हाउस के स्विमिंग पूल में 11 वर्षीय बच्चे की डूबने से मौत हो गई। यह पूल बिना प्रशिक्षक और सुरक्षा मानकों के अवैध रूप से चलाया जा रहा था, जहां 100 रुपये प्रति घंटे के हिसाब से तैराकी सिखाई जाती थी।

जानकारी के अनुसार, बच्चा साइकिल की दुकान पर काम सीख रहा था और पहली बार पूल में उतरा था। इसी दौरान यह हादसा हुआ। सीसीटीवी फुटेज में साफ दिखा कि बच्चा कई मिनट तक पानी में तड़पता रहा और मदद के लिए हाथ-पैर मारता रहा, लेकिन किसी ने उसे बचाने की कोशिश नहीं की।

मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस ने शव का पोस्टमार्टम कराकर इटावा स्थित परिवार को सौंप दिया। हैरानी की बात यह रही कि बच्चे के पिता ने लिखित बयान दिया कि इसमें किसी की गलती नहीं है, जिसके चलते पुलिस भी निष्क्रिय बनी हुई है।

जिले में फिलहाल किसी भी स्विमिंग पूल का पंजीकरण नहीं है। खेल विभाग ने पिछले दो साल से पंजीकरण करना बंद कर दिया है। वर्ष 2023 में 29 पूल पंजीकृत थे, लेकिन अब दर्जनों अवैध पूल प्राइवेट फार्म हाउसों में चल रहे हैं, जहां सुरक्षा नियमों की धज्जियां उड़ाई जा रही हैं।

इससे पहले भी ऐसे पूलों में गंभीर घटनाएं हो चुकी हैं, जिनमें दुष्कर्म के मामले भी सामने आए हैं। इन घटनाओं ने प्रशासन की जिम्मेदारी और निगरानी पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं।

A tragic incident occurred when an 11-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool at a farmhouse in Nahri village. The pool was running illegally without a certified trainer or safety standards, charging ?100 per hour for swimming lessons.

The child, who worked at a bicycle repair shop, entered the pool for the first time when the mishap happened. CCTV footage shows the boy struggling in the water for several minutes, desperately trying to save himself, while others around failed to help.

Police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem before handing it over to the family in Etawa. Shockingly, the boy’s father gave a written statement claiming no one was at fault, leaving the police inactive in the matter.

Currently, no swimming pools in the district are registered. The sports department stopped registration two years ago. In 2023, there were 29 registered pools, but now dozens of pools are operating illegally, especially in private farmhouses, where safety rules are openly violated.

Authorities have previously reported serious incidents at such illegal pools, including cases of sexual assault. This has raised major concerns about the complete lack of monitoring and regulation.
