पुलिस पर बाइक बदलने का आरोप, अधिवक्ताओं ने भूख हड़ताल जारी रखी

राजीव गांधी एजुकेशन सिटी, राई में सड़क हादसे में घायल अधिवक्ता के पिता के मामले में पुलिस पर बाइक बदलने का आरोप लगाते हुए अधिवक्ताओं ने भूख हड़ताल शुरू कर दी है। वकील इस मामले को लेकर लगातार कार्य बहिष्कार कर रहे हैं।

गांव सेवली के निवासी अधिवक्ता रोहताश ने 11 अक्तूबर, 2024 को थाना राई में शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी कि 8 अक्तूबर, 2024 को उनके पिता महाबीर को एक बाइक सवार ने टक्कर मार दी थी, जिससे वे गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए थे। उन्होंने हादसे के वक्त बाइक का नंबर पुलिस को बताया था और मुकदमा दर्ज कराया था। आरोप है कि पुलिस ने हादसे की जांच में असली बाइक के स्थान पर दूसरी बाइक को दिखाया।

इस घटनाक्रम से नाराज अधिवक्ताओं ने उपायुक्त कार्यालय परिसर में क्रमिक भूख हड़ताल शुरू कर दी है और तहसीलदार को अपने पक्ष में सबूत भी सौंपे हैं। पुलिस का कहना है कि वे जांच के आधार पर उचित कार्रवाई कर रही हैं।

भूख हड़ताल और धरने में शामिल अधिवक्ता:
मंगलवार को धरने में शामिल अधिवक्ताओं में प्रधान अनिल दुल, योगेंद्र मलिक, कुसुम दहिया, गौरव आंतिल, निम्मी, संदीप शर्मा (स्वीटी), जितेंद्र कुमार, सुशील अहलावत, कमल हुड्डा, रमन हुड्डा, कृष्ण मलिक, इंद्रपाल अरोड़ा, वीरेंद्र खत्री, विकास कंडू, और आरएस रंजन शामिल थे।

Advocates have initiated a hunger strike, accusing the police of swapping the bike involved in a road accident that injured the father of a lawyer at Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Rai. Lawyers have been boycotting work over the issue.

Advocate Rohtash, a resident of Sevali village, lodged a complaint at Rai Police Station on October 11, 2024, stating that his father, Mahabir, was hit by a bike rider on October 8, 2024, leaving him seriously injured. He had provided the bike’s registration number to the police and filed a case. However, it is alleged that during the investigation, the police replaced the actual bike with another one.

Angered by this, the advocates have started a relay hunger strike at the Deputy Commissioner’s office and submitted evidence to the Tehsildar in support of their claims. The police have maintained that appropriate action is being taken based on their investigation.

On Tuesday, the advocates participating in the protest included President Anil Dul, Yogendra Malik, Kusum Dahiya, Gaurav Antil, Nimmi, Sandeep Sharma (Sweety), Jitendra Kumar, Sushil Ahlawat, Kamal Hooda, Raman Hooda, Krishna Malik, Inderpal Arora, Virendra Khatri, Vikas Kundu, and RS Ranjan.
