DTP Appeals to Citizens: Do Not Buy Plots in Unauthorized Colonies

District Town Planner (DTP) Ajmer Singh stated that, following the directions of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manoj Kumar, a strict campaign is being carried out by the administration to demolish illegal colonies and constructions at their early stages in the district.

As part of this effort, on Tuesday, unauthorized development spread over approximately 8 acres of land in village Patti Musalman was targeted. The administration demolished temporary roads, 10 damp-proof courses (DPCs), 8 boundary walls, and another unauthorized construction.

DTP Ajmer urged the public not to fall into the trap of land mafias and avoid buying plots in illegal colonies. He emphasized that such colonies are not provided with any basic facilities by the government, resulting in people losing their hard-earned money. He advised that before purchasing any plot, one must verify whether the colony has obtained proper approval from the concerned department.

The DTP also made it clear that no illegal colony will be permitted in the district. The department is keeping a strict watch on all areas of the district, and if anyone is found developing unauthorized colonies, strict action will be taken against them under the Urban Area and Controlled Area Act.

He informed that anyone seeking more information or wishing to file a complaint may contact the District Town Planner's office located on the first floor of the HSVP Complex, Sector-15.
