Cattle Smuggling Vehicle Intercepted

Media Report, Kharkhoda:
At approximately 7:45 AM, the Bhura Sonipat Goraksha team, led by Anand alias Bhura, son of Balbir, resident of Sector 23, Sonipat, along with 9-10 young men, received intelligence about a cattle smuggling vehicle. The vehicle, a UK 08C-B 4334 Canter, was transporting cattle for illegal smuggling.

The team had been chasing the vehicle since last night from Kalayat, Kaithal, following it with their three vehicles. The Canter truck was speeding along the Jammu-Katra Highway and broke through the Hasanpur Toll Barrier before entering the Rohna village boundary on Highway 334B, where it was finally intercepted.

The driver and his accomplice managed to escape by switching to another car that was acting as a pilot vehicle for the Canter.

Upon inspection, 18-20 cattle were found inside the vehicle, including three to four bulls. Several cows were found dead. The police are currently investigating the case. After the cattle were taken to Nandi Gaushala, a count confirmed 19 cows, out of which seven were found dead.
