Engineer Found Dead in Sonipat Flat — Shocking Evidence Stuns Police

A shocking incident occurred on Tuesday night in Pushp Enclave, Basant Vihar, where the body of a Senior Section Engineer from the Rail Coach Renovation Factory was discovered in a rented flat. Upon entering the room, police were stunned to find a can of aluminium phosphide (sulphos), dissolved powder, and wrappers next to the body.

The deceased, Shubham Mittal, hailed from Gangoh, Saharanpur (U.P.) and had been working in Sonipat while staying in Ganaur. When family members failed to reach him after noon, his brother Akash Mittal sent Shubham’s assistant to the flat. Finding it locked from inside, they contacted emergency services. The police broke open the door to find Shubham lying dead, with a strong smell of sulphos in the room.

The Ganaur police and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team collected evidence from the scene and sent the body for postmortem to the Sonipat Civil Hospital.

In a formal complaint to Ganaur police, Shubham’s elder brother Akash, currently a Bank of Baroda branch manager in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, alleged that Shubham’s wife and father-in-law had been mentally harassing him for the past three years. He claimed they had threatened to frame Shubham in false cases, and had already lodged one such case in Meerut involving Shubham, their mother, and Akash himself.

Based on the complaint, police have filed an FIR against Shubham’s wife and father-in-law, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the incident.
