Haryana Becomes the First State to Launch ‘Vulture Conservation Program’

Haryana has taken a significant step towards environmental protection by becoming the first state in India to launch the ‘Vulture Conservation Program’. Additionally, under the ‘One Tree in the Name of Mother’ campaign, 1.10 crore trees have been planted across the state.

Promoting the Constitution and Literature

Various events are being organized under the ‘Our Constitution – Our Pride’ campaign to educate the younger generations about the importance of the Constitution. In this regard, Dr. Sant Ram Deshwal, a renowned literary figure from Jhajjar, has been honored with the Padma Shri Award.

Social Welfare and Pension Schemes

The pension for Hindi Movement mother tongue activists has been increased from ?15,000 to ?20,000 per month.

The pension for Emergency Protesters has also been raised from ?10,000 to ?20,000 per month.

All recognized journalists aged 60 and above are now receiving a monthly pension of ?15,000.

The pension for freedom fighters and their widows has been increased to ?40,000 per month.

The ex-gratia amount for the families of martyred soldiers in wars and paramilitary forces has been raised to ?1 crore.

Preserving Haryana’s Cultural and Historical Heritage

Haryana’s Republic Day Tableau has been selected for the Delhi parade for the fourth consecutive year.

The ‘Saint-Mahapurush Honor and Thought Promotion Scheme’ has been active since May 24, 2022.

?97.34 crore has been approved by the Central Tourism Ministry for Kurukshetra tourism, with ?77.87 crore already released.

A heritage circuit project covering Rewari, Mahendragarh, Madhogarh, and Narnaul, worth ?29.61 crore, is under development.

A ?47 crore project for Nada Sahib Gurudwara and Shri Mata Mansa Devi Temple, sanctioned by the Central Tourism Ministry, is ongoing.

A museum and research centers are being built over 6 acres of land in Rakhigarhi (Hisar).

The International Gita Mahotsav is now being organized not just in Kurukshetra but also in various foreign locations.

The International Gita Jayanti Fair Authority has been established to spread the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita worldwide.

Healthcare and Employee Benefit Schemes

A comprehensive ‘Cashless Health Facility’ scheme has been implemented for all government employees from January 1, 2024.

The gratuity limit for employees and judicial officers has been raised from ?20 lakh to ?25 lakh.

Haryana’s Economic Growth

Haryana achieved an 8% year-on-year growth in its Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) in 2023-24 at constant prices.

Haryana’s contribution to India’s GDP stood at 3.7%.

Haryana’s share in the total GST collection across India was 6%.

The state’s per capita income rose to ?3,25,790, compared to ?1,47,382 in 2014-15.

Haryana’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has increased to ?10,95,523 crore, up from ?4,37,144 crore in 2014-15.

The Haryana government is committed to fulfilling the vision of ‘Developed Haryana – Developed India’. All legislative members have been urged to prioritize public welfare and utilize the assembly's time effectively for the benefit of the state and its people.

Emphasizing the philosophy of ‘Antyodaya’ as envisioned by Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, the government aims to empower the last person in society, ensuring self-reliance and progress for all. The hope has been expressed that this assembly session will mark the beginning of a new chapter in public welfare and governance.
