उपायुक्त डा0 मनोज कुमार ने बताया कि खनन विभाग की टीम ने बुधवार को गांव पबनेरा, बेगा, चन्दौली व आस-पास के गॉवो के साथ लगती यमुना नदी के अवैध खनन के संबध में निरिक्षण किया गया। उपायुक्त महोदय ने बताया कि अवैध खनन करना एक कानूनी जुर्म है। जिसमें पकड़े जाने पर भारी भरकम जुर्माना व सजा का भी प्रावधान है।
निरिक्षण के दौरान जिला खनन अधिकारी ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि माह जनवरी में 12 वाहनों को अवैध खनन के संबध में पकड़ा गया है। जिनमें से 8 वाहनो को कुल 25,79,300/- रूप्ये जुर्माना राशि वसूलने उपरान्त ही छोड़ा गया है। 4 व्यक्तियों/वाहन मालिकों/फर्म पर मुकदमें भी दर्ज करवाए गए। भविष्य में भी अवैध खनन से जुडे लोगों पर इसी प्रकार से प्रहार जारी रहेगा। निरिक्षण के दौरान पबनेरा गांव के सरपंच प्रतिनिधि सूरजभान व अन्य ग्रामीण मौजुद रहें।

Media Report, Sonipat, January 30 –

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manoj Kumar stated that a mining department team conducted an inspection on Wednesday regarding illegal mining activities in the Yamuna River near villages Pabnera, Bega, Chandauli, and surrounding areas.

He emphasized that illegal mining is a criminal offense, carrying hefty fines and legal consequences upon being caught.

During the inspection, the District Mining Officer revealed that 12 vehicles were seized in January for illegal mining. Out of these, 8 vehicles were released after collecting a total fine of ?25,79,300, while cases have been registered against 4 individuals, vehicle owners, or firms.

The crackdown on illegal mining will continue, ensuring strict action against violators. Village representatives, including Pabnera village sarpanch’s representative Surajbhan and other locals, were present during the inspection.
