In New Dhani Connections, If the Line Length Exceeds 300 Meters from Firni and Up to Three Kilometers, 50% of the Line Cost and the Entire Transformer Cost Will Be Borne by the Corporation – Energy Minister Anil Vij

Media Report, Chandigarh, March 18 – Haryana’s Energy Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, stated that as per the current policy, the cost of transferring existing Dhani connections from A.P. feeders to R.D.S. feeders is to be borne by the applicant/beneficiary, excluding the cost of the transformer.

Additionally, for new Dhani connections, where the line length exceeds 300 meters from Firni and extends up to three kilometers, 50% of the line cost and the entire transformer cost will be borne by the corporation.

Sh. Vij made this statement while responding to a question during the ongoing budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

He further explained that under the definition of Dhani, it must comprise a cluster of at least 10 houses with toilets and kitchens, but without a tube well room. He emphasized that the power corporation has liabilities and pending recoveries, and once the corporation's financial situation improves, further considerations on this matter will be made.
