Former Haryana Chief Minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal announced that the construction of the International Fruit, Flower, and Horticulture Market will be completed within 400 days, making it operational by 2026. This initiative aims to increase farmers' income by providing them with a large platform to sell their produce.

During his journey from Karnal to Delhi after casting his vote in the municipal elections, Manohar Lal made a surprise visit to the under-construction market near National Highway-44 in Ganaur. He reviewed the ongoing work and instructed officials to accelerate the progress. The Minister also addressed minor issues related to irrigation and the power department, ensuring their swift resolution. It was also decided to elevate the high-tension power lines in the market area. MLA Devender Kadian was also present during the visit.

Manohar Lal stated that this project had been pending for a long time, but the BJP government is committed to its early completion. He emphasized that this would be Asia’s largest horticulture market, benefiting farmers, traders, and the general public.

Spanning 537 acres, the market will receive produce from 14 states across India and generate thousands of job opportunities. The infrastructure includes a sewage treatment plant, solid waste management plant, and water treatment plant to ensure smooth operations. Seventeen sheds will be built, including a fully air-conditioned flower market and a fish market. Additionally, parking facilities and workshops for vehicles will be constructed.

MLA Devender Kadian highlighted that this market will establish Ganaur as a major trade hub in Asia. The long-delayed project is now gaining momentum under the BJP government, and once completed, it will unlock new income opportunities for the region.
