Massive Fire Breaks Out in Three Factories in Sonipat’s Kundli Industrial Area

A massive fire broke out this morning in three factories located in Sector-57, Phase-4 of Kundli Industrial Area in Sonipat district, causing panic in the area. Upon receiving the alert, 20 fire tenders from Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, and Delhi’s Narela rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control after several hours of intense effort.

According to reports, the fire started unexpectedly at Plot No. 106, a footwear factory. The flames quickly spread to the adjacent footwear unit at Plot No. 107 and later engulfed another factory located behind them at Plot No. 81, which manufactures mobile parts.

Eight workers trapped on the third floor were safely rescued by the fire brigade. These workers had gone upstairs to shift goods but got stuck due to the rising flames. Firefighters reached the scene promptly, installed a ladder on the roof of the adjacent building, and successfully brought the trapped workers down.

The presence of rubber materials in the footwear factories made the fire extremely difficult to control. Fire tenders from neighboring districts, including Delhi, were summoned to assist in the firefighting efforts.
