ऑपरेशन प्रहार: 7 घंटे की कार्रवाई में 50 गिरफ्तार, 36 बेल जंपर शामिल

पुलिस महानिदेशक शत्रुजीत कपूर के आदेश और पुलिस आयुक्त ममता सिंह के निर्देश पर सोमवार सुबह 5 बजे से दोपहर 12 बजे तक जिलेभर में ऑपरेशन प्रहार चलाया गया। इस विशेष अभियान का उद्देश्य अपराध और अपराधियों पर सख्ती से लगाम लगाना था।

अभियान में जिले की 80 पुलिस टीमों के 496 जवानों ने हिस्सा लिया। कार्रवाई के दौरान कुल 50 आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया, जिनमें 36 बेल जंपर और 3 उद्घोषित अपराधी भी शामिल हैं।

पुलिस प्रवक्ता के अनुसार, अभियान के दौरान आबकारी अधिनियम के तहत 3 नए मामले दर्ज किए गए, जिसमें 3 आरोपियों से 323 बोतल देसी शराब, 145 बोतल अंग्रेजी शराब और 12 बीयर की बोतलें बरामद की गईं। वहीं NDPS एक्ट के तहत एक आरोपी को 1.8 किलो गांजा के साथ गिरफ्तार किया गया।

सड़क सुरक्षा को लेकर भी पुलिस सख्त दिखी। संदिग्ध वाहनों की तलाशी ली गई और लेन ड्राइविंग के उल्लंघन पर 214 चालान काटे गए। साथ ही आम जनता को ट्रैफिक नियमों के पालन के प्रति जागरूक किया गया।

पुलिस आयुक्त ममता सिंह ने स्पष्ट कहा कि अपराधियों के लिए जिले में कोई जगह नहीं है – या तो वे अपराध छोड़ें या जिला। वहीं डीसीपी क्राइम नरेंद्र कादयान ने आम लोगों से अपील की कि किसी भी आपराधिक गतिविधि की जानकारी तुरंत पुलिस को दें और जिले को अपराध मुक्त बनाने में सहयोग करें।

Acting on the orders of DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor and under the direction of Police Commissioner Mamta Singh, Operation Prahar was launched across Sonipat from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This special drive aimed to crack down on criminal activities and offenders in the district.

A total of 80 police teams comprising 496 personnel took part in the operation. During the campaign, the police arrested 50 accused individuals, including 36 bail jumpers and 3 proclaimed offenders.

According to the police spokesperson, three new cases were registered under the Excise Act, with seizures of 323 bottles of country liquor, 145 bottles of English liquor, and 12 beer bottles. Under the NDPS Act, one person was arrested with 1.8 kg of marijuana.

Traffic enforcement was also a focus area during the drive. Police inspected suspicious vehicles and issued 214 challans for lane driving and other traffic violations. Public awareness efforts were also made to promote adherence to traffic rules.

Police Commissioner Mamta Singh issued a strong warning to criminals, stating that they have no place in the district—they must either stop committing crimes or leave the area. She affirmed that such operations will continue in the future.

DCP (Crime) Narendra Kadyan urged citizens to report any criminal activity promptly to their local police station and support efforts to make Sonipat a crime-free district.
