Rewarded Arms Supplier Arrested in Murder Case; Another Accused Held in Separate Death Investigation

The Crime Unit West has arrested Gaurav, a notorious criminal from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, who was carrying a ?5,000 reward on his head. He is accused of supplying illegal weapons to the killers involved in the October 8, 2023 murder of Vishal from Nangal Kalan.

Gaurav had been on the run and was finally nabbed in a special operation led by Sub-Inspector Ravikant. Earlier, the police had arrested four other accused in the case—Omsagar, Rakesh alias Kaku, Ritik, and Sanjay alias Golu. Gaurav has now been remanded to judicial custody, and further interrogation is ongoing regarding the murder conspiracy, arms supply, and other possible accomplices.

Meanwhile, in a separate case, Kundli police arrested Prateek, a resident of Angad Nagar, Delhi, in connection with the suspicious death of Kawaljeet Singh at TDI Kingsbury Society.

Ravi, the brother-in-law of the deceased, filed a complaint on July 4, alleging that Kawaljeet was murdered by his friends Prateek, Himanshu, and others, despite the initial claim that the death was due to a heart attack. Following investigation, Prateek was arrested and has been sent to three days of police remand. Further arrests are expected soon.
