रिश्वत लेते रंगे हाथ पकड़ा गया SI, पीड़ित की शिकायत पर ACB ने की कार्रवाई

करनाल की एंटी करप्शन ब्यूरो (ACB) की टीम ने बारोटा चौकी में तैनात एक सब-इंस्पेक्टर (SI) को रिश्वत लेते हुए रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार किया है। यह रिश्वत वाहन खरीद-फरोख्त से जुड़े धोखाधड़ी के मामले में आरोपी के पक्ष में गवाही देने के बदले में ली जा रही थी।

एसीबी टीम ने गोहाना रोड से SI को 20 हजार रुपये की रिश्वत के साथ गिरफ्तार किया। आरोप है कि आरोपी पहले भी 50 हजार रुपये रिश्वत ले चुका था। फिलहाल विजिलेंस टीम आरोपी से पूछताछ कर रही है।

इस मामले के अलावा ACB ने एक अन्य रिश्वत मामले में फरार चल रहे बिजली निगम के जूनियर इंजीनियर दीपक दलाल को भी गिरफ्तार किया है, जो एक किसान से रिश्वत लेने के मामले में वांछित था।

यह कार्रवाई पंजाब के संगरूर जिले के खनौरी निवासी सुरेंद्र की शिकायत पर की गई। सुरेंद्र ने बताया कि उसने वर्ष 2024 में संदीप नामक युवक से एक ट्रक खरीदा था और सभी कागजात भी लिए थे। लेकिन विवाद होने पर ट्रक बेचने वाले के साझेदार ने धोखाधड़ी का मामला दर्ज कराया, जिसमें कुंडली थाना पुलिस ने सुरेंद्र को गिरफ्तार कर लिया था।

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) from Karnal arrested a Sub-Inspector (SI) posted at Barota Chowki while he was caught red-handed accepting a bribe in exchange for giving a favorable statement in a fraud case related to the purchase and sale of a vehicle.

The arrest took place on Gohana Road, where the ACB team apprehended the SI with ?20,000 in bribe money. It is alleged that the officer had previously accepted ?50,000 as well. Currently, the Vigilance team is interrogating the accused officer.

In a related development, the ACB also arrested Junior Engineer Deepak Dalal from the electricity department, who was absconding in a separate bribery case involving a farmer.

The case was initiated based on a complaint filed by Surendra, a resident of Khanauri in Sangrur district, Punjab. Surendra stated that he had purchased a truck in 2024 from a man named Sandeep, along with the necessary documents. However, due to a dispute, Sandeep's business partner filed a cheating case against him. As a result, the Kundli police arrested Surendra.
