यातायात पुलिस सोनीपत का सड़क सुरक्षा स्पेशल अभियान लगातार छठे दिन भी जारी, इसके तहत सड़क सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने हेतू भारी वाहनों को लेन ड्राईविंग (बाँई लेन) में चलने के नियमों की उंल्लघना करने पर आज किए 87 वाहनों के चालान व बुलेट पटाका के 14 चालान कर 2 लाख 59 हजार 500 रूपये का किया जुर्माना

पुलिस प्रवक्ता कार्यालय से प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार आज दिनांक 15 फरवरी 2025 को पुलिस आयुक्त सोनीपत श्रीमती नाजनीन भसीन IPS के आदेशनुसार पुलिस उपायुक्त वेस्ट जोंन एवं ट्रैफिक सोनीपत श्री नरेन्द्र कादयान के निर्देशानुसार सोनीपत ट्रैफिक पुलिस द्वारा लगातार सड़क सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने, वाहनों के सुचारू-रूप से आवागमन हेतू भारी वाहन व गति प्रतिबन्धित (निर्धारित गति सीमा) वाहन के लिए लेन ड्राईविंग (बाँई लेन) निर्धारित करने व बाँई लेन में चलने हेतू वाहन चालकों को जागरूक कर आवश्यक कार्यवाही करने एवं इस अभियान को सफल बनाने के लिए पुलिस अधिकारियों/कर्मचारियों को दिशा निर्देश दिए कि मोटर वाहन अधिनियम-2017 की धारा 4 के भाग 5 अन्तर्गत सुनिश्चित करेंगे कि प्रत्येक भारी वाहन व गति प्रतिबन्धित वाहन अपनी निर्धारित गति सीमा में बाँई लेन में चले जिससे सड़क सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित की जा सके और ओवरटेक करते समय किसी भी वाहन चालक को कठिनाई का सामना ना करना पड़े और सड़क हादसों से बचा जा सके।

यदि कोई भी वाहन चालक मोटर वाहन अधिनियम-2017 की धारा 4 के भाग 5 के अन्तर्गत निर्धारित गति सीमा व बाँई लेन में ना चलकर नियम की उल्लघंना करता है तो उसका चालान किया जाए। निर्देशों की अनुपालना में सोनीपत ट्रैफिक पुलिस की टीम ने सड़क सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने व आम नागरिकों की सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए NH-44, KGP हाइवे, KMP, 334B व गोहाना पानीपत नेशनल हाईवे पर लेन ड्राईविंग (बाँई लेन) में चलने के नियमों की उंल्लघना करने वाले 87 वाहनों के चालान किए हैं। और शहर में युवाओं द्वारा आये दिन बुलेट बाइक से पटाखों की शिकायतें मिल रही थी।

इसलिए इनके खिलाफ ट्रैफिक पुलिस ने अभियान चलाकर बुलेट पटाका के 14 चालान कर तकरीबन 2 लाख 59 हजार 500 रूपये का जुर्माना कियाl जिनमें से 10 बुलेट को इम्पाउंड किया गया है। और लोगों द्वारा आये दिन शहर में सड़क पर पार्किंग कर दी जाती है जिससे आमजनों का आवागमन बाधित हो जाता है इसी कड़ी में आज गलत पार्किंग किये 11 वाहनों को भी ट्रैफिक पुलिस की क्रेन द्वारा उठवाया गया है।
पुलिस उपायुक्त ट्रैफिक सोनीपत ने वाहन चालकों से अपील करते हुए कहा कि सड़क सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने व वाहनों के सुचारू-रूप से आवागमन हेतू यह अनिवार्य है कि हम मोटर वाहन अधिनियम-2017 की धारा 4 के भाग 5 के अन्तर्गत निर्धारित गति सीमा व बाँई लेन में चले जिससे सड़क हादसों में कमी लाई जा सके। और शहर में बुलेट बाइक द्वारा पटाखे बजाने वाले युवाओं के खिलाफ यह अभियान आगे भी लगातार जारी रहेगा।

87 Heavy Vehicles and 14 Bullet Firecracker Violators Fined a Total of ?2,59,500 for Lane Driving Violations

Heavy vehicle drivers being made aware of left-lane driving to reduce road accidents; Bullet firecracker violations will not be tolerated in the city - DCP Traffic Sonipat

According to information received from the Police Spokesperson’s Office, on February 15, 2025, under the orders of Sonipat Police Commissioner, Mrs. Nazneen Bhasin, IPS, and the instructions of Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Zone & Traffic), Mr. Narendra Kadyan, Sonipat Traffic Police is continuing its efforts to ensure road safety and smooth traffic flow.

As part of this initiative, heavy vehicles and speed-restricted vehicles are being directed to follow lane driving (left lane) rules. Awareness campaigns and enforcement actions are being carried out to ensure compliance. Police officials and personnel have been instructed to enforce Section 4, Part 5 of the Motor Vehicles Act-2017, ensuring that all heavy and speed-restricted vehicles stay within their designated speed limits and drive in the left lane. This measure aims to enhance road safety, prevent difficulties during overtaking, and reduce road accidents.

Any driver violating the prescribed speed limit or lane discipline under Section 4, Part 5 of the Motor Vehicles Act-2017 will be fined. In compliance with these directives, Sonipat Traffic Police conducted inspections on NH-44, KGP Highway, KMP, 334B, and the Gohana-Panipat National Highway, issuing 87 challans to heavy vehicles for violating lane driving rules.

Additionally, frequent complaints were received regarding youth creating nuisance by bursting firecracker sounds on Bullet motorcycles. In response, a special enforcement drive was carried out, resulting in 14 challans for Bullet firecracker violations, amounting to fines of approximately ?2,59,500. Of these, 10 Bullet motorcycles have been impounded.

Moreover, improper roadside parking has been causing disruptions in public movement. To address this issue, 11 wrongly parked vehicles were removed by the traffic police crane today.

DCP Traffic Sonipat has appealed to all drivers to adhere to the prescribed speed limits and drive in the left lane to ensure smooth traffic flow and reduce road accidents. He also stated that the crackdown on Bullet firecracker violators will continue in the coming days.
