Youth Arrested with Country-Made Pistol in Sonipat

Police have arrested Dipanshu alias Deepu, a resident of Sikka Colony, for illegal possession of a firearm. The accused was produced in court and has been sent to judicial custody.

According to the police, they received a tip-off that Dipanshu was standing with an illegal weapon under the Sector-7 flyover on GT Road. Acting swiftly, the police apprehended him and recovered a country-made pistol from his possession. The pistol’s magazine and chamber were found empty.

A case has been registered against him under the Arms Act at Bahalgarh police station. After presenting him in court, the accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
