112 Employees Terminated at Janata Educational Institute, Staff Protest in Sit-In

The management of Janata Educational Institute in Butana village has terminated 112 employees, barring them from entering the premises. In response, the dismissed staff staged a sit-in protest outside the institute, demanding justice from the government and administration.

Ajit Sangwan, the newly elected chairman of the institute’s managing committee, stated that the previous administration had appointed staff through improper and unauthorized means. He alleged that several appointments were made without sanctioned posts, and even family members of committee members were recruited, violating institutional norms.

The affected employees claimed they were removed without any prior notice, which has led to a serious financial crisis for their families.

According to Ajit Sangwan, the employees had been issued notices twice but failed to respond. He also mentioned that a physical altercation occurred with an assistant professor on Tuesday, further complicating the situation.

ACP Nidhi Nain visited the protest site and advised the employees to end the protest and meet with the concerned officials.

Many of the appointments were made during the tenure of former chairman Satpal Sangwan. About two years ago, the state government initiated the process of converting the institute into a government university. Ajit Sangwan had previously raised objections about these appointments and filed complaints at various levels.
