सोनीपत में आम आदमी पार्टी को बड़ा राजनीतिक नुकसान झेलना पड़ा है। पार्टी के सीनियर नेता और सोनीपत लोकसभा क्षेत्र के पूर्व अध्यक्ष देवेंद्र गौतम ने संगठन से इस्तीफा देने की घोषणा कर दी है। गौतम वर्ष 2021 से पार्टी के सक्रिय सदस्य थे और 2024 के सोनीपत विधानसभा चुनाव में उन्होंने दमदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए तीसरा स्थान हासिल किया था।

गौतम का आरोप है कि पार्टी के कुछ कार्यकर्ता, बाहरी विधायकों के साथ मिलकर उनके खिलाफ राजनीतिक और सामाजिक तौर पर नुकसान पहुंचाने की साजिश रच रहे थे। उनके खिलाफ एक मुकदमा भी दर्ज कराया गया, लेकिन शीर्ष नेतृत्व ने इस मामले में कोई ठोस कार्रवाई नहीं की। इसी उदासीनता और भीतरघात से परेशान होकर उन्होंने पार्टी छोड़ने का फैसला लिया।

The Aam Aadmi Party has suffered a major political setback in Sonipat. Senior party leader and former president of the Sonipat Lok Sabha constituency, Devender Gautam, has announced his resignation from the organization. Gautam had been an active member of AAP since 2021 and had put up a strong performance in the 2024 Sonipat Assembly elections, securing the third position.

Gautam alleges that some party members, in collaboration with external MLAs, were conspiring to politically and socially sabotage him. A case was also registered against him, but the top leadership did not take any decisive action. Troubled by this indifference and internal betrayal, he decided to resign from the party.
