रिश्वतखोरी में गिरफ्तार: हरियाणा पुलिस की महिला थानेदार दहेज केस में रिश्वत मांगते पकड़ी गई

हरियाणा पुलिस की महिला सहायक उप-निरीक्षक (ASI) जगवती, जो पलवल महिला थाना में तैनात थीं, को ₹20,000 की रिश्वत लेते हुए एंटी करप्शन ब्यूरो (ACB) फरीदाबाद की टीम ने रंगे हाथों गिरफ्तार किया। यह कार्रवाई 7 मार्च 2025 को अलावलपुर चौक, पलवल में की गई।

शिकायतकर्ता मनोज कुमार, निवासी गांव कमरावली, जिला पलवल, ने शिकायत में आरोप लगाया कि उनकी दोस्त बनवारी के साले रोहताश और उनके परिवार के खिलाफ महिला थाना पलवल में दहेज उत्पीड़न का केस (मुकदमा संख्या 214/2024) दर्ज किया गया था। इस मामले की जांच अधिकारी ASI जगवती ने रोहताश का नाम केस से हटाने और अन्य परिवार वालों को बचाने के लिए ₹20,000 रिश्वत की मांग की।

इसके अलावा, शिकायतकर्ता ने यह भी बताया कि ASI जगवती पहले भी ₹1,00,000 रिश्वत के रूप में ले चुकी थी। मामले की पुष्टि होने के बाद, ACB फरीदाबाद ने स्वतंत्र गवाहों की मौजूदगी में ट्रैप लगाकर आरोपी अधिकारी को गिरफ्तार किया।

ASI जगवती के खिलाफ भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक अधिनियम, 1988 की धारा 7 के तहत थाना भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक ब्यूरो, फरीदाबाद में केस दर्ज किया गया। यह कार्रवाई पूरी पारदर्शिता और साक्ष्यों के आधार पर की गई।

Haryana Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Jagwati, posted at Palwal Women’s Police Station, has been caught red-handed accepting a bribe of ?20,000. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Faridabad team arrested her at Alawalpur Chowk, Palwal, on March 7, 2025.

Complainant Manoj Kumar, a resident of Kamarawali village, Palwal district, alleged that his friend Banwari’s brother-in-law Rohtash and his family were booked in a dowry harassment case (Case No. 214/2024) at the Palwal Women’s Police Station. ASI Jagwati, the investigating officer, demanded ?20,000 in bribe to remove Rohtash's name from the case and exclude other family members.

Additionally, the complainant revealed that ASI Jagwati had already taken ?1,00,000 as a bribe earlier. Upon verification, ACB Faridabad set up a trap and arrested the accused officer in the presence of independent witnesses.

A case has been registered against ASI Jagwati under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, at the Anti-Corruption Bureau Police Station in Faridabad. The entire operation was conducted with full transparency and legal compliance.
