नगर निगम की लापरवाही: चार कॉलोनियों के 10 हजार लोग पीने को मजबूर दूषित पानी

मध्य प्रदेश के इंदौर जिले में दूषित पानी पीने से 18 लोगों की मौत के बावजूद नगर निगम के अधिकारी गंभीरता नहीं दिखा रहे हैं। सोनीपत शहर के कई इलाकों में लंबे समय से गंदे पानी की आपूर्ति हो रही है, लेकिन बार-बार शिकायतों के बाद भी समस्या का समाधान नहीं किया गया।

गांव जाजल के पास यमुना नदी से आने वाली रेनीवाल जल आपूर्ति लाइन सेक्टर-3 मोड़ के पास लीक हो रही है। निगम अधिकारियों की अनदेखी के कारण पीने का पानी बहालगढ़ रोड किनारे बह रहा है और इसका सीधा असर शहर के पश्चिमी क्षेत्र की चार कॉलोनियों पर पड़ रहा है, जहां दूषित पानी सप्लाई किया जा रहा है।

लहराड़ा, कालूपुर, भगत सिंह कॉलोनी और इंद्रा कॉलोनी के करीब 10 हजार से अधिक लोग इस समस्या से जूझ रहे हैं। कॉलोनीवासियों का कहना है कि सीवर व्यवस्था पूरी तरह से चरमराई हुई है और सीवर लाइन की नियमित सफाई नहीं होने के कारण गंदा पानी पेयजल में मिल रहा है।

स्थानीय निवासी अनिल, मोनिका, नवीन और सुरेंद्र ने बताया कि निगम अधिकारियों को कई बार शिकायत दी जा चुकी है, लेकिन हर बार केवल आश्वासन ही मिलता है। अब तक न तो लीक लाइन की मरम्मत की गई है और न ही जल आपूर्ति व्यवस्था को दुरुस्त किया गया है, जिसका खामियाजा आम जनता को भुगतना पड़ रहा है।

Even after the tragic incident in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, where 18 people lost their lives due to contaminated drinking water, municipal authorities in Sonipat appear indifferent. Several parts of the city are receiving polluted water, and despite repeated complaints, no concrete action has been taken.

The Renival water supply line coming from the Yamuna near Jajal village is leaking near Sector-3 turn. Due to negligence by civic officials, drinking water is flowing along the Bahlgarh Road, while contaminated water is being supplied to four colonies in the western part of the city.

Residents of Laharada, Kalupur, Bhagat Singh Colony, and Indira Colony—over 10,000 people—are severely affected. Locals allege that the sewer system has completely collapsed, and due to poor maintenance and lack of proper cleaning of sewer lines, sewage water is mixing with drinking water.

Residents including Anil, Monika, Naveen, and Surender stated that despite lodging multiple complaints with municipal officials, they have only received verbal assurances. No effective steps have been taken to repair the leaking pipeline or improve the water supply system, forcing residents to consume unsafe water.
