Fake CEAT Tubes Factory Busted in Sonipat, Huge Seizure Made

A factory in plot number 390 of the Barhi Industrial Area, Sonipat, was found manufacturing counterfeit CEAT vehicle tubes. The raid was conducted following a complaint from an investigator working with the legal firm of CEAT.

Based on information received by Sushil Kumar, an investigator from Prime IPR (CEAT’s authorized legal partner), a raid was carried out in collaboration with Barhi police. During the operation, 16 sacks of fake tubes and around 5,000 printed packaging pouches using CEAT’s registered trademark were seized.

Shamsher, a worker at the factory and a resident of Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, revealed that the factory owner is Ankur Agarwal from Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. The factory had no valid license, and a case under the Copyright Act was registered against both the worker and the owner. Shamsher was arrested on the spot, while the police are currently searching for Ankur Agarwal.
