FIR Filed Against Unknown Persons for Creating Illegal Cut on Expressway

An FIR has been registered against unidentified individuals for creating an illegal cut near the Pipli Toll Plaza on the Kundli–Manesar–Palwal (KMP) Expressway. The complaint was filed by HSIIDC through KMP Expressway Manager Praveen Beniwal at the Kharkhoda police station.

Illegal cuts are frequently being made on the KMP Expressway, mainly by farmers accessing their fields or by residents of nearby villages. Such unauthorized openings often lead to accidents and the issue has been raised multiple times in the monthly road-safety meetings chaired by the Deputy Commissioner.

According to the complaint, unknown persons created unauthorized access points near the Pipli Toll Plaza for personal use, violating the rules of an access-controlled highway. These illegal entries pose a serious threat to public safety, disrupt high-speed traffic, and damage government infrastructure.

Additionally, the act amounts to a violation of the Sand Act and Highway Access Control Rules, which consider unauthorized alterations or damage to highway structures as punishable offenses. Acting on the complaint, Kharkhoda police have registered a case under relevant sections of the National Highways Act, 1956, and the Highway Access Control Rules against unknown persons.
