Fraud Uncovered: Two Vehicles with Same Number Used for Scrap Loading Scam

Criminals are devising new ways to commit fraud, and a scam related to scrap purchasing has been exposed at a factory in Dhaturi village.

The owners of SR Enterprises, Shoaib Malik and Manish Malik, along with their drivers Zakir and Hashasad, were involved in a fraudulent scheme using two vehicles with the same registration number for scrap loading.

How Was the Fraud Committed?

The gang weighed an empty heavy vehicle but later sent a lighter vehicle into the factory, loaded it with scrap, and got it weighed. This resulted in a significant weight difference, leading to substantial losses for the company.

How the Scam Was Caught

Suspicion arose when factory employees Ankush and Vinod Hooda noticed an unusual discrepancy in the vehicle weights. When Vinod attempted to recheck the weight, the company owners and drivers fled with the loaded vehicle.

Case Registered, Three Accused Arrested

The factory’s Production Head, Dinesh, a resident of Mukundpur village, Jhajjar, filed a complaint at Murthal Police Station. Following an investigation, the police arrested three accused, and further inquiries are underway.
