Mining Mafia Attacks Police in Yamunanagar, Tries to Run Over with Trucks

A major clash broke out in Yamunanagar when mining mafia attempted to run over police officers with overloaded sand trucks. The incident occurred when four trucks filled with illegally mined sand were intercepted by the police. As the Gumthala outpost in-charge sought help from the control room, the mafia, in an attempt to evade the authorities, overturned the trucks in nearby fields.

While the police were escorting the vehicles for weighing, one of the mafia members tried to run them over with a truck, causing serious injuries to a police personnel. One truck driver was caught, while the others managed to escape in the dark. All four trucks were found to be overloaded and carrying sand illegally without permits.
