Modernization Underway at Sonipat Railway Station: Passengers to Enjoy High-Tech Facilities – Rajiv Jain

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation for the development of Sonipat Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

BJP’s mayoral candidate Rajiv Jain engaged with daily passengers at the station and appealed for votes in his favor.

Former media advisor to the Chief Minister and BJP’s mayoral candidate from Sonipat, Rajiv Jain, conducted a public outreach campaign at the railway station on Monday morning, meeting with railway passengers and appealing for their votes. He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approximately 1,300 major railway stations across the country are being redeveloped as “Amrit Bharat Stations” with modern facilities. Under this scheme, Sonipat Railway Station is also being modernized, with the Ministry of Railways allocating ?29 crore for the project.

The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is not only giving the station a modern look but also equipping it with high-tech amenities. Passengers will soon benefit from facilities such as a food court, café, waiting room, retiring room, and a modern booking office. Rajiv Jain mentioned that over 40,000 passengers traveling towards Delhi and Ambala will soon be able to enjoy these facilities.

During the outreach campaign at Sonipat Railway Station, MLA Nikhil Madan arrived with hundreds of party workers and appealed for votes for Rajiv Jain from the daily railway passengers, who expressed their support for him.

Rajiv Jain further stated that, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, new trains like the Vande Bharat Express, Amrit Bharat, and NaMo Bharat have been introduced. He promised to address the everyday problems of passengers. He also mentioned that the Himalayan Queen train, which was discontinued during the COVID-19 lockdown, will be restarted. For passenger convenience, two passenger trains will be operated from Delhi towards Panipat at 8:50 AM and 10:00 AM, and four extra coaches will be added to all EMU trains. Additionally, stoppages for the Sachkhand Express and Hoshiarpur Express will be arranged, and a foot overbridge with steps will be constructed towards the mandi area.

Rajiv Jain said that he has met with the Rail Minister regarding the modernization and renovation of the railway station, and the Rail Minister has assured all possible assistance for passenger convenience.

After the railway station outreach, Rajiv Jain addressed gatherings at various locations—including Purkhas Station, meetings of gym operators, vegetable markets, Choti Masjid Market, Geeta Bhavan Mobile Market, Sector-14 Market, Delhi Road, Baba Colony, Garh Shahjahanpur, RK Colony, Indra Colony, Bahalgarh, Sudama Nagar, Libaspur, Khari Kuan Chowk, Garhi Brahmanan, New Jeevan Nagar, Kakaroi Road, Eldiko, Omex Heights, Agrasen Bhavan, Kot Mohalla, Aath Marla, and several other spots. At these gatherings, the people warmly welcomed him with garlands and bestowed blessings for his electoral victory. Rajiv Jain stressed that the development of Sonipat will be carried out in accordance with the aspirations and cooperation of the public. During his speech, he highlighted the BJP’s policies and the development initiatives of both the Central and State governments, reiterating his commitment to the progress of the Sonipat Municipal Corporation area.
