In Chhataihra village of Gohana, a man conspired with his servant to kill his own son. The servant first attacked the victim with a sharp weapon and then strangled him using a rope and cloth. They presented the incident as an accident, leading to the funeral being conducted without a post-mortem.

What Raised Suspicion?

Family members and neighbors found the condition of the body suspicious. Upon questioning the servant strictly, the truth was revealed. The deceased, Nikku, was addicted to alcohol and often got into fights. Frustrated with his behavior, his father plotted his murder. Based on a complaint by his cousin Rakesh, a case was registered against Nikku’s father, Ranbir, and the servant Aman alias Maman at Baroda police station.

What Actually Happened?

According to Rakesh, his cousin Nikku ran a dairy farm in the village, where Aman from Makdoli, Rohtak, worked as a servant. On Sunday, when Rakesh, his uncle, and a neighbor went to the fields, they found Nikku lying unconscious in a room with injury marks on his body.

Investigation and Confession

Initially, the family assumed it was an accident and performed Nikku’s last rites. However, later they learned that Aman had visited the fields multiple times that day. When questioned strictly, Aman confessed to the crime.

How Was the Murder Committed?

Aman revealed that he first made Nikku drink alcohol and then, following instructions from Nikku’s father, attacked his neck with a sharp weapon. He then strangled him with a rope and cloth. The investigation further revealed that Nikku frequently got into fights due to his drinking habits, which led his father to orchestrate the murder.
