Over 5,000 Challans Issued in Sonipat Within 23 Days; Police Tighten Action on Traffic Violators

In Sonipat, traffic police have intensified their crackdown on rule violators, issuing more than 5,100 challans in just 23 days of November. A total fine of ?80,55,700 has been collected from offenders who were caught breaking traffic rules.

Throughout the month, traffic police teams conducted special checking drives across national highways, key intersections, and sub-division areas. From November 1 to November 23, a total of 5,109 challans were issued under the Motor Vehicles Act. Along with issuing fines, police also spread awareness about traffic rules and removed black films from vehicles.

The police have been urging citizens to follow traffic regulations. Special focus is being placed on those using mobile phones while driving. Action is also being taken against bikes without number plates and Bullet motorcycles creating loud noise; many such vehicles have been seized.

Police continue to advise people to carry all necessary vehicle documents, avoid mobile use while driving, and not allow underage teenagers to operate vehicles. During the campaign, police also checked suspicious persons and set up blockades on highways to question doubtful vehicles and individuals.
