PWD Mechanical Workers Protest Over Pending Demands, Warn of Future Action if Ignored

Members of the Haryana Government PWD Mechanical Workers Union, district unit, staged a protest outside the Public Health Engineering Division office on Gohana Road, demanding resolution of their long-pending issues. The protest was led by District President Vishnu Dutt Bhardwaj and State Press Secretary Vinod Sharma. After the protest, the employees handed over a memorandum of demands to Superintendent Engineer Rajeev Gupta, urging swift action.

District President Bhardwaj informed that the union submitted a 15-point demand letter under the leadership of State President Kulwant Sharma and Vice President Ishwar Singh Dahiya. The superintendent engineer assured that all field workers’ demands would be addressed at the earliest.

The union also warned that if the demands are not resolved within 10 days, another meeting will be held to decide the next course of action. Among the present were Satbir, Krishan, Satyawan, Lahna Singh, Ravi, Brijmohan, Sunder Singh, Pradeep, Sandeep, Ramprasad, Mohan, Naresh, Mukesh, and Dhoop Singh.

80 New Members Join, Sumer Chand Appointed Chairman

State Joint Secretary Satish Kumar Ranga and Press Spokesperson Vinod Sharma informed that on Wednesday, around 80 employees left other unions and joined the PWD Mechanical Workers Union. A new unit was formed, and elections were held. Sumer Chand was unanimously elected as Chairman, Dilbagh Singh as President, Yogesh Sharma as Secretary, and Sandeep Kashyap as Treasurer.

The newly elected unit members took oath under the supervision of State President Kulwant Sharma and Vice President Ishwar Dahiya.
