सोनीपत-Delhi रूट पर यात्रियों को राहत: जल्द शुरू होंगी 5 नई ई-बसें

सोनीपत बस स्टैंड से दिल्ली तक रोजाना हजारों लोग यात्रा करते हैं, लेकिन बसों की संख्या कम होने के कारण यात्रियों को लंबा इंतजार करना पड़ता है। खासकर पीक आवर्स में बस मिलना और सफर करना और भी मुश्किल हो जाता है।

फिलहाल इस रूट पर लगभग 22 बसें रोजाना चलती हैं, लेकिन यात्रियों की भीड़ इतनी ज्यादा होती है कि बस पकड़ना चुनौती बन गया है। प्रतिदिन तीन हजार से अधिक लोग इस मार्ग पर यात्रा करते हैं, जिससे ट्रैफिक भी प्रभावित होता है।

करीब चार महीने पहले रोडवेज विभाग ने मुख्यालय को ई-बसों के संचालन की अनुमति के लिए पत्र भेजा था, लेकिन उस समय कोई जवाब नहीं मिला। अब विभाग ने प्रक्रिया को तेज करने के लिए रिमाइंडर भेजा है।

योजना के तहत सोनीपत से दिल्ली आईएसबीटी तक पांच नई ई-बसें चलाने की तैयारी की जा रही है। योजना के लागू होने पर यात्रियों को बसों का लंबा इंतजार नहीं करना पड़ेगा और यात्रा ज्यादा आरामदायक और सुविधाजनक हो जाएगी।

रोडवेज अधिकारियों का कहना है कि ई-बसों से यात्रियों को लाभ तो होगा ही, साथ ही यह कदम प्रदूषण कम करने और पर्यावरण को संरक्षित रखने की दिशा में भी अहम साबित होगा। इससे शहर की हवा स्वच्छ बनी रहेगी।

Thousands of passengers travel daily from Sonipat bus stand to Delhi, but due to a limited number of buses, they often face long waiting times—especially during peak hours when travel becomes even more difficult.

Currently, around 22 buses operate on this route each day, yet the heavy rush makes it hard for commuters to even board a bus. With more than 3,000 people traveling on this route daily, traffic congestion is also a growing concern.

About four months ago, the Roadways Department had written to headquarters seeking permission to introduce electric buses (E-buses) on the Sonipat-Delhi route, but no response was received. Recently, a reminder was sent to expedite the approval process.

Now, the department is planning to introduce 5 new E-buses from Sonipat to Delhi ISBT. If implemented, this move will reduce passenger wait times and make the journey more comfortable and convenient.

According to Roadways officials, these electric buses will not only provide relief to daily commuters but will also contribute positively to the environment by reducing pollution and promoting cleaner air in the city.
