Relief from Traffic Congestion in Grain Market as Proposal for Additional Gate Gets Approval

The newly constituted body of the Ganaur Market Committee held its first meeting on Monday, during which detailed discussions were held on development works, administrative arrangements, and the smooth functioning of the grain market and committee area.

To address traffic congestion in the grain market, the committee unanimously approved a proposal to construct an additional gate. Market Committee Chairman Nishant Chhaukker stated that the new gate would ensure smoother movement of trucks during the peak procurement season and help prevent traffic jams in the mandi.

The committee also decided to install water coolers in the mandi premises to ensure safe drinking water for farmers and traders. Additionally, it was resolved that all damaged roads falling under the jurisdiction of the Market Committee would be repaired at the earliest.

Members also emphasized the need to enhance awareness among farmers about various government welfare schemes so that the benefits reach them effectively.

In a subsequent meeting, Chairman Nishant Chhaukker and Vice-Chairman Yogesh Kaushik held discussions with officials from the Agriculture Department and HAFED regarding fertilizer availability. Officials were instructed to send fertilizer demand in a timely manner to avoid any inconvenience to farmers. Market Committee Secretary Shiv Kumar and other members were present during the meetings.
