खरखौदा को गोहाना जिले में शामिल करने के प्रस्ताव का विरोध, लोगों ने निकाला पैदल मार्च

हरियाणा में नए जिलों के गठन को लेकर चल रही चर्चाओं के बीच खरखौदा क्षेत्र को प्रस्तावित गोहाना जिले में शामिल किए जाने का स्थानीय लोगों ने कड़ा विरोध किया। शुक्रवार को विभिन्न गांवों से आए लोग खरखौदा संघर्ष कमेटी के बैनर तले शहर में जमा हुए और पैदल मार्च निकालते हुए राज्यपाल तथा मुख्यमंत्री के नाम ज्ञापन सौंपा।

संघर्ष कमेटी का कहना है कि खरखौदा और उसके आसपास के गांव प्रशासनिक सुविधा एवं जनसेवाओं के लिहाज से सोनीपत जिले के अधिक निकट हैं। गोहाना तक पहुंचना दूरी और समय, दोनों दृष्टियों से मुश्किल है। समिति ने बताया कि इस मुद्दे को लेकर वे पहले भी कई बार सरकार को ज्ञापन दे चुके हैं।

19 मार्च, 22 मार्च, 30 मार्च, 15 जून और 25 जून को ज्ञापन सौंपने के साथ सांकेतिक धरने भी दिए गए। इसके बाद 22 अक्टूबर को चंडीगढ़ में मुख्यमंत्री निवास पर पहुंचकर और 30 अक्टूबर से 1 नवंबर तक तीन दिवसीय धरना देकर भी विरोध दर्ज कराया गया। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने नायब तहसीलदार अचिन कुमार से अपील की कि क्षेत्र की जनभावनाओं को अनदेखा न किया जाए।

समिति के सदस्यों ने कहा कि खरखौदा में जिला बनने की सभी संभावनाएं मौजूद हैं, इसलिए यदि सरकार नए जिले बनाने पर विचार कर रही है, तो सबसे पहले खरखौदा को ही जिला घोषित किया जाना चाहिए। इस अवसर पर विकेश दहिया, वेदप्रकाश, इंद्रजीत राणा सोहटी, देशपाल रोहणा, सिकंदर, रणबीर, हंसराज और रमेश सहित कई लोग मौजूद रहे।

Amid ongoing discussions in Haryana regarding the creation of new districts, residents of Kharkhoda staged a protest opposing the proposal to include their region in the proposed Gohana district. People from several villages gathered under the banner of the Kharkhoda Sangharsh Committee and held a foot march, submitting memorandums addressed to the Governor and the Chief Minister.

The committee emphasized that Kharkhoda and nearby villages are administratively and logistically closer to Sonipat, making it more practical for residents to remain part of the Sonipat district. Traveling to Gohana, they said, would require greater distance and time. The committee stated that they have repeatedly raised this concern before the government.

Memorandums were submitted earlier on March 19, March 22, March 30, June 15, and June 25, accompanied by symbolic protests. After this, the committee members also reached the Chief Minister’s residence in Chandigarh on October 22 and held a three-day sit-in protest from October 30 to November 1. Protesters urged Naib Tehsildar Achin Kumar to ensure that the sentiments of local residents are not ignored.

The committee added that Kharkhoda has full potential to become a district on its own, and if the government plans to announce new districts, Kharkhoda should be given priority. Vikas Dahiya, Vedprakash, Inderjeet Rana Sohati, Deshpal Rohana, Sikander, Ranbir, Hansraj, and Ramesh were among those present.
