Revenge for Rumors in the Village: Firing on a Housewife on the Roof and Her Husband

In the village of Bhavard, a housewife who was cleaning utensils on the roof was attacked by a local villager. It is reported that the accused first struck her with a tool and then fired two shots. The woman narrowly escaped and immediately ran down to save her life.

The incident was triggered by false rumors that had been spread about the woman. When her husband went to reason with the accused, he too was fired upon. The case was promptly registered at the Baroda police station upon receiving the information.

Kia, a resident of Bhavard and wife of Amit, told the police that she is a housewife with a daughter and a son. Her husband is a farmer, and their household also includes her father-in-law, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law. Reports indicate that before the incident, a local resident named Ramjeet alias Dhila had spread false rumors about her, which eventually reached her husband.
