Speeding Fortuner Crashes into Punctured Pickup on NH-44, Claims One Life on NH44 near Kundli, Sonipat

Despite frequent accidents on National Highway-44 passing through Sonipat, reckless speeding continues to be a major issue. In yet another tragic incident today, a high-speed Fortuner rammed into a punctured pickup near Pyau Maniyari, leading to a fatal accident. Yogesh, the pickup attendant, who was inspecting the flat tire, was hit and died on the spot. Upon receiving the report, the Kundli police arrived at the scene and sent the body for post-mortem at the Civil Hospital.

According to sources, Pritam, a resident of Mohmadabad village in Sonipat, was traveling towards Sonipat with Yogesh in their pickup loaded with goods. As they reached Pyau Maniyari, their vehicle suffered a puncture. When Yogesh stepped out to check the issue, a speeding Fortuner coming from behind crashed into him before colliding with the pickup. The impact was devastating—Yogesh lost his life on the spot, while Pritam suffered severe injuries, including the amputation of his legs. The four youths inside the Fortuner also sustained serious injuries.
