ईस्टर्न ऑर्बिटल रेल कॉरिडोर को स्टीयरिंग समिति की मंजूरी, हरियाणा में रेल परियोजनाओं ने पकड़ी रफ्तार

हरियाणा में रेल अवसंरचना को मजबूत करने के लिए राज्य सरकार तेजी से कदम उठा रही है। वर्तमान में चल रही परियोजनाओं को समयबद्ध रूप से पूरा करने के साथ-साथ जिन योजनाओं पर अभी काम शुरू नहीं हुआ है, उन्हें भी अगले चरण में अमल में लाने की तैयारी है। इसी क्रम में बुधवार को रेल अवसंरचना से जुड़ी विभिन्न परियोजनाओं की समीक्षा की गई।

बैठक के दौरान बताया गया कि सोनीपत से पलवल तक (बागपत, गाजियाबाद और गौतम बुद्ध नगर के रास्ते) प्रस्तावित ईस्टर्न ऑर्बिटल रेल कॉरिडोर के एलाइनमेंट को उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्य सचिव की अध्यक्षता वाली स्टीयरिंग समिति से मंजूरी मिल गई है। इस कॉरिडोर का व्यवहार्यता अध्ययन अब आगे के चरण में है।

हरियाणा के मुख्य सचिव एवं हरियाणा रेल अवसंरचना विकास निगम (HRIDC) के अध्यक्ष अनुराग रस्तोगी ने निगम के निदेशक मंडल की 33वीं बैठक में हरियाणा ऑर्बिटल रेल कॉरिडोर (HORC) सहित अन्य परियोजनाओं की प्रगति की समीक्षा की। बैठक में कुरुक्षेत्र में बन रहे एलिवेटेड रेलवे ट्रैक की विस्तृत प्रगति रिपोर्ट भी प्रस्तुत की गई।

बताया गया कि कुरुक्षेत्र एलिवेटेड ट्रैक परियोजना के अंतर्गत सिविल कार्य, ट्रैक बिछाने, सिग्नलिंग, टेलीकम्युनिकेशन और ओवरहेड इलेक्ट्रिफिकेशन के कार्य पूरे हो चुके हैं, जबकि एलिवेटेड प्लेटफॉर्म का निर्माण अंतिम चरण में है। शीघ्र ही उत्तरी रेलवे के अधिकारी तकनीकी निरीक्षण करेंगे, जिसके बाद रेलवे सुरक्षा आयुक्त द्वारा निरीक्षण किया जाएगा। मुख्य सचिव ने शेष कार्यों को और तेज करने के निर्देश दिए।

बैठक में यह भी जानकारी दी गई कि मानेसर–पातली खंड और मारुति रेलवे यार्ड जून 2025 से चालू हो चुके हैं, जिससे परियोजना को राजस्व मिलना शुरू हो गया है। अब तक मारुति प्लांट से 372 रैक लोड किए जा चुके हैं। भूमि मुआवजे के तहत कुल 1,878 करोड़ रुपये में से 1,533 करोड़ रुपये का भुगतान किया जा चुका है।

HORC परियोजना के अंतर्गत निर्माणाधीन 7.2 किलोमीटर लंबी सुरंग, अपने क्रॉस-सेक्शन के लिहाज से क्षेत्र की सबसे बड़ी यात्री रेल सुरंगों में शामिल होगी। न्यू ऑस्ट्रियन टनलिंग मेथड से बन रही इस सुरंग का अब तक 52 प्रतिशत से अधिक कार्य पूरा हो चुका है।

मुख्य सचिव अनुराग रस्तोगी ने कहा कि ये परियोजनाएं राज्य सरकार की आधुनिक, सुरक्षित और सतत रेल अवसंरचना विकसित करने की प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाती हैं, जिससे क्षेत्रीय संपर्क, आर्थिक विकास और यात्री सुविधा को नया आयाम मिलेगा।

The Haryana government is accelerating efforts to strengthen rail infrastructure across the state. Ongoing projects are being fast-tracked, while preparations are underway to launch pending schemes in the next phase. A comprehensive review of major rail infrastructure projects was conducted on Wednesday.

During the review, it was informed that the alignment of the proposed Eastern Orbital Rail Corridor, connecting Sonipat to Palwal via Baghpat, Ghaziabad and Gautam Budh Nagar, has been approved by the steering committee chaired by the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh. The feasibility study of the corridor has now moved to an advanced stage.

Haryana Chief Secretary and Chairman of Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (HRIDC), Anurag Rastogi, reviewed the progress of the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) and other projects during the 33rd meeting of HRIDC’s Board of Directors. A detailed progress report on the elevated railway track being constructed in Kurukshetra was also presented.

Officials informed that all major works under the Kurukshetra elevated track project—including civil works, track laying, signalling, telecommunication and overhead electrification—have been completed. Construction of the elevated platform is in its final phase. Technical inspections by Northern Railway officials will be conducted soon, followed by inspection by the Commissioner of Railway Safety. The Chief Secretary directed officials to further expedite the remaining work.

It was also noted that the Manesar–Patli section and the Maruti Railway Yard became operational in June 2025, marking the beginning of revenue generation for the project. So far, 372 rakes have been loaded from the Maruti plant. Against a total land compensation award of ?1,878 crore, payments amounting to ?1,533 crore have already been disbursed.

Under the HORC project, a 7.2-kilometre-long tunnel is under construction, which will be among the largest passenger rail tunnels in the region in terms of cross-section. Built using the New Austrian Tunnelling Method, more than 52 percent of the excavation work has been completed.

Highlighting the overall progress, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi said these projects reflect the state government’s commitment to developing modern, efficient and sustainable rail infrastructure, which will enhance regional connectivity, boost economic growth and improve mobility for citizens.
