सोनीपत में नेशनल हाईवे-44 पर एक दर्दनाक हादसे में अज्ञात तेज रफ्तार वाहन ने एक युवक को टक्कर मार दी, जिससे उसकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। हादसे के बाद वाहन चालक मौके से फरार हो गया।

यह घटना देर रात की बताई जा रही है। कुंडली थाना पुलिस के जांच अधिकारी कुलदीप के अनुसार, उन्हें सूचना मिली थी कि गांव जाटी कलां मोड़ के पास दिल्ली-पानीपत मार्ग पर एक युवक का शव पड़ा है। पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और शव को कब्जे में लेकर नागरिक अस्पताल सोनीपत भिजवाया।

प्राथमिक जांच में पता चला कि युवक सड़क पार कर रहा था, तभी एक तेज रफ्तार वाहन ने उसे कुचल दिया। युवक की पहचान अभी तक नहीं हो पाई है, लेकिन उसके हाथ पर "दुर्गेश" नाम लिखा हुआ है। आसपास के क्षेत्रों में युवक की शिनाख्त के प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं। शव को फिलहाल सोनीपत के नागरिक अस्पताल के शवगृह में सुरक्षित रखा गया है। पहचान के बाद आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

A tragic accident occurred on National Highway-44 in Sonipat when a speeding unidentified vehicle struck a young man attempting to cross the road. The impact was fatal, and the youth died on the spot. The vehicle driver fled the scene immediately after the collision.

Upon receiving information late at night, a police team from Kundli police station led by Investigation Officer Kuldeep reached the location near the Jati Kalan village turn. They found the body lying by the roadside along the Delhi-Panipat route.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the young man was trying to cross the road when a high-speed vehicle hit him. Eyewitnesses confirmed this sequence of events. The deceased had the name "Durgesh" tattooed on his hand, but his full identity remains unknown.

Efforts are being made to trace his family in the nearby areas. The body has been kept at the Sonipat Civil Hospital mortuary for identification. Once he is identified, further legal procedures will follow.
