Unlicensed Drug Factory Busted in Sonipat; FDA Takes Action

An illegal medicine manufacturing unit operating without a license has been busted in Sonipat. The factory was running in the Firozpur Bangar area of Kharkhoda, and the authorities had been receiving reports about its operations for several days. Acting on the tip-off, a raid was conducted by the FDA team under the leadership of Senior Drug Control Officer Rakesh Dahiya. The investigation revealed that antibiotic medicines for three companies from Himachal Pradesh were being manufactured without any legal authorization.

Owner Identified, Supervisor Arrested
The factory owner, Manoj, is a resident of Rajasthan and was absent from the site during the raid. However, the team apprehended Yogesh, a resident of Sirsa, who was overseeing the factory’s operations. Authorities are now taking legal action against those involved in this unauthorized drug production.
