Vehicles with Farmers’ Union Flags to Pass Freely at Mohana Toll Plaza

Under the banner of Bhartiya Kisan Union (Ekta Sidhupur), a large number of farmers gathered on Wednesday at the Mohana Toll Plaza located on NH-352. The gathering followed recent complaints that some union members were being harassed at the toll. During the event, police forces were deployed at the site under the supervision of senior officers to maintain order.

A meeting was held between toll management officials and farmers’ union leaders in the presence of police officers, where several issues were resolved through mutual understanding. The toll management accepted that if any staff member had misbehaved—knowingly or unknowingly—with any farmer representative in the past, they regretted it and assured that such incidents would not happen again.

The farmers’ union leaders clarified that vehicles displaying the union’s flag, badge, and valid identification card would not be stopped at the toll plaza. The toll management agreed to this arrangement. However, the union also stated that blank or unauthorized ID cards would not be accepted, and every representative must carry the official flag and valid ID.

The toll management raised concerns about the misuse of fake union ID cards by some individuals. The union leaders assured that if any misuse is reported, strict action will be taken against such persons by the union itself.

The meeting was chaired by Rajbir Majra, Gohana Block President of the union. Among those present were State Vice President Virender Pehal, State Secretary Virender Khokhar, District President Bedi Dahiya, Youth District President Praveen Dahiya, District Coordinator Inderjit Rana, District Spokesperson Deshpal Rohna, District Treasurer Bijender Matindu, Babla Pradhan Barwasni, Barha Pradhan Atar Singh Dahiya, General Secretary Ramniwas Nijampur, and Kharkhoda Block President Shakti Dahiya.
