BJP State In-charge Dr. Satish Poonia described Haryana’s 2025-26 budget as visionary and progressive, stating that it touches all sections of society and truly embodies the concept of Antyodaya (upliftment of the last person in society). The budget covers everything from shepherds and Anganwadi workers to artificial intelligence and airports. Dr. Poonia expressed gratitude to CM Nayab Singh Saini for presenting such an excellent budget.

Dr. Satish Poonia, along with State BJP President Pandit Mohan Lal Badoli, Organization Minister Phanindranath Sharma, and other leaders, attentively listened to the Chief Minister’s budget speech in the Assembly.

Dr. Poonia stated that the budget is a significant step toward empowering every citizen in all aspects and will play a crucial role in building a new Haryana. He highlighted that as Finance Minister, CM Nayab Singh Saini presented a ?2,05,017 crore budget, which is inclusive and forward-thinking, aimed at making Haryana developed, prosperous, and self-reliant.

Boosting Haryana’s Economy and Infrastructure

Dr. Poonia emphasized that this budget is a crucial step toward achieving a $1 trillion GDP under Mission Haryana-2047. The budget prioritizes industrial development, infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and employment generation.

He lauded the government’s initiative to promote startups and encourage private investors to create a ?2000 crore "Fund of Funds" to support young entrepreneurs. The state is also committed to protecting youth from drug addiction by establishing the "Mera Sankalp Authority."

To prevent illegal migration via the "Donkey Route," the government has pledged to safeguard Haryana’s youth. The Haryana Overseas Employment Cell and the Haryana Skill & Employment Corporation will facilitate international job placements for Haryana’s youth—a commendable step.

Economic Growth and Farmers’ Welfare

Dr. Poonia pointed out that Haryana’s GDP has grown significantly from ?4,37,145 crore in 2014-15 to an estimated ?12,13,951 crore in 2024-25, reflecting the government’s efficiency and commitment. Under the BJP government, per capita income has risen to ?3,53,182, proving the administration’s effectiveness.

Dr. Poonia reiterated that the BJP is a pro-farmer party, and the Chief Minister’s decision to introduce a bill protecting farmers from counterfeit seeds and pesticides will greatly benefit them.

To empower women in agriculture, the budget provides interest-free loans of ?1 lakh for dairy farming, horticulture, animal husbandry, and fisheries. Additionally, subsidies for purchasing indigenous cows have been increased to ?30,000.

Under the "Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana," farmers who shift away from paddy cultivation will now receive ?8,000 per acre, up from ?7,000. The establishment of a flower market in Gurugram and a horticulture research center in Palwal, along with seed testing labs in all districts, will significantly boost the agricultural sector.

Education and Skill Development Reforms

Dr. Poonia praised the "Mukhyamantri Yuva Kaushal Samman Yojana," which will provide ?10,000 monthly internship stipends to 2,000 final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students—a historic step by the Nayab government.

Under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, new bus terminals will be built in Pipli, Karnal, Sector-36 Gurugram, Ballabhgarh (Faridabad), and Sonipat, ensuring smoother public transport.

A heliport on 16 acres in Gurugram will be developed to provide pilot training, with the purchase of 10 single-engine and 2 double-engine training aircraft for aviation students.

The Chief Minister has also proposed developing one Model Culture College in each district, similar to Rajkiya Model Sanskriti Schools, marking a major advancement in higher education.
