DC Sonipat Warns All Department Officials

Resolve Complaints from Samadhan Camps on Time: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manoj Kumar
Forest Department to Plant 4.24 Lakh Trees in the District, Emphasis on Cleanliness, ORS Corners, and ‘Nikshay Mitra’ Scheme

A District Officers Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manoj Kumar in the auditorium on the third floor of the Mini Secretariat. The DC directed all departments to resolve complaints received during Samadhan Camps, Jan Samvad programmes, and the CM Window Portal in a time-bound manner, and to confirm the resolution with the complainant. He warned that action will be taken against departments that fail to resolve complaints on time.

Massive Plantation Drive by Forest Department

The DC informed that the Forest Department will plant a total of 4,24,302 saplings under various schemes in the district. All departments were instructed to ensure maximum plantation and greenery in their office premises as well.

Special Emphasis on Cleanliness

Heads of all departments were directed to ensure cleanliness of their offices, especially public places, schools, and vacant government lands. Dr. Kumar warned that officers would face action if cleanliness is found lacking during inspections. Additionally, departments were told to prepare a list of condemned/unusable items and initiate auction processes soon.

Amrit Sarovar Scheme and ‘Happy Card’

Dr. Kumar directed that 100 Amrit Sarovars (water bodies) be developed in the district. Land that suffers from waterlogging or is unfit for farming should be identified for this purpose.

The Roadways Department was instructed to promote the 'Happy Card' scheme extensively and ensure eligible beneficiaries receive its advantages.

ORS Corners and Diarrhea Prevention Campaign

In view of the heatwave and potential diarrhea outbreaks, the DC instructed that ORS corners be set up at railway stations and bus stands. ORS sachets should also be distributed free of cost at all Anganwadi centers and sub-health centers, as part of the diarrhea prevention campaign starting in June.

Nikshay Mitra & TB Patient Support

The DC appealed to officials to become ‘Nikshay Mitras’ (TB Care Patrons) by adopting TB patients to support their nutrition and care. So far, 2,574 TB patients have been adopted in the district.

Other Key Instructions:

• Ensure preparations for Anemia Awareness Week starting in July.

• All ASHA workers to be provided infantometers.

• All officers and staff must get their BP and sugar levels checked.

• Closed sports stadiums in all panchayats should be reopened.

• Repair of dharamshalas (community halls) should be carried out.

• Pending construction projects must be completed promptly; negligent contractors to be penalized.

• Treat the public courteously and give priority to public welfare.

• Review and resolve pending court cases related to respective departments.

Present at the meeting were SDM Gohana Anjali Shrotriya, SDM Kharkhoda Dr. Nirmal Nagar, SDM Sonipat Subhash Chandra, SDM Ganaur Pravesh Kadian, City Magistrate Dr. Anmol, and CEO of District Council Abhay Singh Jangra, along with all department heads.
