Demand to Bring Contractual Workers on Payroll Raised Before MP

A delegation from the Theka Safai Karamchari Ekta Manch met Member of Parliament Satpal Brahmachari and former MLA Surender Panwar at Sector-15 to submit a memorandum regarding the issues faced by contractual sanitation workers.

Union president Mukesh Tank stated that on May 24, 2018, the Haryana Government had issued a letter mandating that contractual sanitation workers working in municipal corporations, municipal councils, and municipalities be brought onto the regular payroll.

While most districts in Haryana, including Gohana Municipal Council, have implemented this order, Sonipat Municipal Corporation has yet to do so.

MP Satpal Brahmachari assured the delegation that their demands would be raised before the government on a priority basis.
