सोनीपत के तीन वार्डों में 3.68 करोड़ रुपये के विकास कार्यों की शुरुआत

विधायक निखिल मदान और मेयर राजीव जैन ने मंगलवार को सोनीपत के तीन वार्डों में 3.68 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से होने वाले विकास कार्यों का शुभारंभ किया। दोनों जनप्रतिनिधियों ने देवडू रोड पर नगर निगम द्वारा किए जा रहे विकास कार्यों की शुरुआत नारियल फोड़कर की।

वार्ड नंबर 5 में 2.84 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से विकास कार्य किए जाएंगे। विधायक ने बताया कि शिव कॉलोनी, मामचंद कॉलोनी, जीवन विहार और ऋषि कुंज कॉलोनी की जर्जर गलियों को सीसी और इंटरलॉकिंग टाइल्स से बनाया जाएगा। पुरानी और टूटी हुई टाइल वाली गलियों को अब सीसी से दोबारा बनाया जाएगा, साथ ही कुछ नई गलियों का भी निर्माण होगा। इस अवसर पर पार्षद मुकेश सैनी भी मौजूद रहे।

विधायक और मेयर ने सेक्टर 13 में भी सड़कों के पुनर्निर्माण कार्य का शुभारंभ किया। मेयर राजीव जैन ने बताया कि इस क्षेत्र की सड़कें पहले तारकोल से बनी थीं, जो बरसात के दौरान खराब हो गई थीं। स्थानीय निवासियों की शिकायत पर नगर निगम ने टेंडर प्रक्रिया शुरू की थी, जिसके तहत 58 लाख रुपये की लागत से यह कार्य किया जाएगा।

इसके अलावा, फाजिलपुर गांव में डॉ. भीमराव आंबेडकर पुस्तकालय के निर्माण कार्य की भी शुरुआत की गई। इस पर 26 लाख रुपये खर्च किए जाएंगे, जिससे पुस्तकालय को नया स्वरूप मिलेगा और ग्रामीणों को बेहतर सुविधा प्राप्त होगी।

इस अवसर पर रामफल आंतिल, दीपक सांगवान, राजेंद्र धनखड़, ईश जौहर, रामफल राणा, सुरेंद्र, कृष्ण दहिया, हरीश, बलवान आंतिल, जगदीश छाबड़ा, प्रेमदत्त शर्मा, सागर चोपड़ा और पवन तनेजा सहित कई लोग मौजूद रहे।

MLA Nikhil Madan and Mayor Rajeev Jain on Tuesday inaugurated development projects worth ?3.68 crore across three wards in Sonipat. The duo began the works by performing a ceremonial coconut-breaking at Devdu Road, where municipal development activities are underway.

In Ward No. 5, development works worth ?2.84 crore will be carried out. MLA Madan informed that dilapidated lanes in Shiv Colony, Mamchand Colony, Jeevan Vihar, and Rishi Kunj Colony will be rebuilt using CC and interlocking tiles. Lanes that were earlier made with tiles but are now damaged will be reconstructed with concrete. Some streets will also be newly developed. Councillor Mukesh Saini was also present during the event.

The MLA and Mayor also launched the road reconstruction work in Sector 13. Mayor Rajeev Jain said that the bitumen roads in the area had deteriorated during the rainy season. After receiving complaints from residents, the tender process was initiated, and the ?58-lakh project will now be executed by the Municipal Corporation.

Additionally, they inaugurated the construction of B.R. Ambedkar Library in Fazilpur village, to be built at a cost of ?26 lakh. The new library building will provide better facilities to local residents.

Several dignitaries, including Ramphal Antil, Deepak Sangwan, Rajendra Dhankhar, Ish Johar, Ramphal Rana, Surender, Krishan Dahiya, Harish, Balwan Antil, Jagdish Chhabra, Premdutt Sharma, Sagar Chopra, and Pawan Taneja were present at the occasion.
