Major Action Against Pahalgam Terror Attack Suspects: Police Blows Up Houses of Adil Guri and Asif Sheikh

Following the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Army has intensified its search operation. The NIA, in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police, has launched an investigation into the incident. The names of terrorists Asif Sheikh and Adil Guri have surfaced in connection with the attack. Police had gone to search their houses, during which the homes were blown up. According to the police, suspicious materials were found inside.

After the Pahalgam attack, the Indian Army is in action, supported by the police. Security forces had gone to search the houses of Adil and Asif Sheikh. During the operation, suspicious materials were found, raising safety concerns. Upon sensing danger, the security personnel retreated, and a major explosion followed, destroying the house. Police later confirmed that explosives were present in the home, which caused the blast.

Adil Received Terror Training in 2018

Adil Thokar is a terrorist affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba and is also known as Adil Guri. He hails from Bijbehara. His house was destroyed in the blast. Adil’s name emerged in the Pahalgam attack. He had legally traveled to Pakistan in 2018, where he reportedly underwent terror training. He returned to Jammu and Kashmir only last year.

Pakistan Opens Fire Near LoC

Pakistan continues its provocations, opening fire in certain sectors along the Line of Control (LoC). The Indian Army gave a strong response. Fortunately, no casualties or damage have been reported. Tensions have risen along the border following the Pahalgam terror attack, and the Indian Army remains on high alert.

Indian Army Chief to Visit Srinagar and Udhampur

Amid growing border tension, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi will visit Srinagar and Udhampur soon. He will meet with officials of the security agencies and assess the situation on the ground. After the Pahalgam terror attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also visited the region. This was followed by a high-level CCS (Cabinet Committee on Security) meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where key decisions were taken.
