Mayor Takes Strict Action Over Sewer Line Laid Without Base, 500 Feet Pipeline Removed

Due to negligence by municipal officials, around 500 feet of sewer line was laid without a proper base in Khanna Colony. Upon receiving complaints, Mayor Rajiv Jain visited the site and ordered the pipeline to be removed immediately.

When questioned, laborers initially tried to mislead but later admitted that no gravel base had been laid under the pipes. The Mayor also inspected ongoing work in Hem Nagar and found that instead of constructing new manholes, only the covers of old ones were being replaced or repaired.

Mayor Jain summoned municipal engineers on the spot and reprimanded them for the poor quality of work. He instructed strict monitoring of the sewer line construction and warned that any compromise in quality will not be tolerated.

Municipal Executive Engineer Vishal Garg confirmed that the faulty pipeline in Khanna Colony is being removed and reinstalled with a proper base, and strict action will be taken in case of further negligence.
