PM Modi Begins Budget Session with Prayers to Goddess Lakshmi, Reaffirms Vision for a Developed India by 2047

Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced the Budget Session by offering prayers to Goddess Lakshmi, symbolizing prosperity, and reiterated India's commitment to becoming a developed nation by 2047.

PM Modi stated, “At the beginning of this Budget Session, I bow to Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of prosperity. For centuries, we have remembered Goddess Lakshmi on such occasions… She blesses us with success and wisdom. I pray to Goddess Mahalakshmi for her special grace on every poor and middle-class citizen of the country.”

Highlighting India’s progress, he remarked, “Our Republic has completed 75 years, which is a matter of great pride for every citizen. The people of this country have entrusted me with this responsibility for the third time, and this is the first full budget of our third term. I can confidently say that when India celebrates 100 years of independence in 2047, this Budget and this Session will instill new confidence and energy towards achieving our vision of a Developed India. The 140 crore citizens of India will fulfill this goal through their collective efforts.”

PM Modi further emphasized, “In our third term, we are operating in mission mode to ensure the all-round development of the nation, whether it is in geographical, social, or economic aspects. We are progressing with a dedicated mission to achieve comprehensive development in every sector.”
