Preparations in Full Swing for Farmers’ Mahapanchayat on February 11, 12, and 13

On the 74th day of the farmers’ protest, farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal continued his indefinite hunger strike at the Datasinghwala-Khanauri protest site. Preparations for the Mahapanchayats scheduled on February 11, 12, and 13 at Ratnpura, Datasinghwala-Khanauri, and Shambhu protest sites are in full swing.

To mobilize participation for the Mahapanchayat at Ratnpura on February 11, a team of farmer leaders visited Pir Kanwaria, Surewala, Naiwala, Kulchandra, Saharni, Kharakheda, Gudiya, Tandurwali, Basheer, and Sabuana villages, inviting farmers to join the gathering.

Today, office-bearers of the Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ambawata) arrived at the protest site to express their support for the movement.

Tomorrow, as part of the sacred water journey, a group from over 50 villages in Haryana will carry water from their farms’ tube wells to the Datasinghwala-Khanauri protest site in the third phase of their campaign.
