Preparations in Full Swing for January 26, Farmers to Parade Tractors

On the 61st day of the farmers' protest, farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal continued his indefinite hunger strike at the Daatasinghwala-Khanauri farmers' front. Farmer leaders announced that preparations for the January 26 event are in full swing across the country. Tomorrow, from 12 PM to 1:30 PM, farmers nationwide will parade their tractors on the roads.

The leaders also alleged that in some areas, the administration is attempting to suppress tomorrow's program, which they said is against democratic values. They criticized the government for not acting in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution ("for the people, by the people") over the past 77 years.

The farmers claimed that successive governments have neglected their interests and prioritized corporate gains instead. They emphasized that it is now time for the government to stop ignoring farmers, enact a law guaranteeing MSP, and take steps to prevent farmer suicides.
