Reconstruction of Bhogipur–Rajlugarhi Road Left Incomplete, Villagers Face Daily Hardship

The widening and reconstruction of the Bhogipur–Rajlugarhi road has come to a standstill, causing significant inconvenience to local residents. The half-done roadwork has left the stretch in a dilapidated condition, making daily commuting difficult.

According to the villagers, the contractor began the work a month ago by laying stones and soil, but abandoned the project midway without completing the road with tar and gravel. Only tiles were installed near the village entrance, while the rest of the road remains unfinished. Due to the uneven and slippery surface, two-wheeler riders are frequently falling and injuring themselves.

Residents including Surender, Satbir, Vikas, Ramkumar, Paleram, and Naresh Kumar have raised concerns and demanded that the roadwork be resumed and completed promptly. They have warned that if the issue is not resolved soon, they will escalate the matter to the local MLA.
