Registrations Begin at New Collector Rates in Sonipat; ?1.47 Crore Revenue on First Day

Starting Monday, property registrations in Sonipat district resumed under the new collector rates, excluding Khanpur Kalan and Rai sub-tehsils. A total of 77 property registrations were recorded across remaining tehsils, generating ?1.47 crore in revenue for the government.

As per state government directives, the revised circle rates effective from July 4 have been increased by 10% to 50%. Earlier, an increment of 5% to 20% had been implemented on December 1, 2024.

While this brings relief to property buyers in terms of process, it has also resulted in higher costs due to the increased rates. On Monday, Gohana saw 22 registrations, Kharkhoda 7, Sonipat 29, and Ganaur 19.

District Revenue Officer Kanab Kumar stated that the registry process under the new rates is now running smoothly, ensuring ease for property buyers.
