किसानों की आर्थिक प्रगति में शोध की अहम भूमिका : प्रो. सुरेश

मुरथल स्थित महाराणा प्रताप बागवानी विश्वविद्यालय (एमएचयू) के क्षेत्रीय मशरूम अनुसंधान केंद्र में किसान दिवस एवं राष्ट्रीय मशरूम दिवस के अवसर पर एक विशेष कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में प्रदेश के विभिन्न जिलों से आए लगभग 60 किसानों और प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया।

कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि एमएचयू के कुलपति प्रो. सुरेश मल्होत्रा ने कहा कि किसानों की आय बढ़ाने और आर्थिक स्थिति मजबूत करने में आधुनिक शोध और नई तकनीकों की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका है। इसी सोच के तहत सरकार द्वारा महाराणा प्रताप बागवानी विश्वविद्यालय की स्थापना की गई है।

उन्होंने बताया कि विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा प्रदेश के छह जिलों में क्षेत्रीय अनुसंधान केंद्र संचालित किए जा रहे हैं। मुरथल स्थित मशरूम अनुसंधान केंद्र में किसानों को मशरूम उत्पादन से जुड़ी नवीन तकनीकों का प्रशिक्षण दिया जा रहा है। मशरूम की खेती कम लागत, कम जगह और कम समय में की जा सकती है, जिससे किसानों को अच्छा लाभ मिल सकता है।

अनुसंधान निदेशक डॉ. धर्म सिंह ने किसानों से अपील की कि वे संस्थान से प्रशिक्षण लेकर वैज्ञानिकों के मार्गदर्शन में नई तकनीकों को अपनाएं। कार्यक्रम के समापन अवसर पर कुलपति ने सभी प्रतिभागियों को प्रमाणपत्र वितरित किए।

कार्यक्रम का मंच संचालन डॉ. अलीषा ने किया। इस दौरान केंद्र प्रभारी डॉ. अजय सिंह, डॉ. हरजोत सिंह, डॉ. नितिन सहित अन्य स्टाफ सदस्य भी उपस्थित रहे।

A special program was organized at the Regional Mushroom Research Center of Maharana Pratap Horticultural University (MHU), Murthal, on the occasion of Farmers’ Day and National Mushroom Day. Around 60 participants from different districts of the state attended the event.

The Vice-Chancellor of MHU, Prof. Suresh Malhotra, who was the chief guest, stated that modern research and innovations can greatly help farmers increase their income and achieve economic prosperity. Keeping this objective in mind, the government established Maharana Pratap Horticultural University.

He further informed that the university is running regional research centers in six districts across the state. At the Mushroom Research Center in Murthal, farmers are being trained in the latest mushroom cultivation techniques. Mushroom farming requires low investment, minimal space, and can be carried out easily, making it a profitable option for farmers.

Director of Research Dr. Dharam Singh advised farmers to undergo training at the institute and adopt new agricultural technologies under the guidance of scientists. At the conclusion of the program, certificates were distributed to the participants by the Vice-Chancellor.

The event was conducted by Dr. Alisha. Center in-charge Dr. Ajay Singh, Dr. Harjot Singh, Dr. Nitin, and other staff members were also present during the program.
