Police-Criminal Encounter in Sonipat: One Injured, Four Nabbed

An encounter broke out between the Crime Unit of Sector 27 and a group of criminals during a night patrol in Sonipat. One of the criminals, Bidhal, sustained a bullet injury to his leg and was rushed to the Civil Hospital. Later, he was referred to Khanpur Women's Medical College for further treatment.

The police managed to arrest all four suspects and are interrogating them to uncover details about their other accomplices. The suspects were reportedly planning a robbery and were spotted standing near National Highway 334B with bags.

When the police attempted to apprehend them, one of the criminals opened fire. In retaliation, police also fired back, during which Bidhal was hit in the leg. He is accused in over 18 serious cases, including murder and attempted murder, and had a bounty of ?10,000 on his head.

His accomplices — Nishant alias Kala, Sachin alias Tinku, and Manish alias Monu — were also arrested. From their possession, five illegal country-made pistols and approximately 470 grams of charas were seized. Police confirmed that all the accused have multiple criminal cases registered against them in various police stations.
