Tender Approved for Rehabilitation of Demolished Shops and Monkey Capture, Key Decisions in Municipal Corporation House Meeting

The Municipal Corporation House meeting took place late Friday night, where over 225 agendas were discussed. The meeting, held at the community center in Sector 23, passed a proposal for the rehabilitation of 17 shops that were demolished on the custodian land at Subhash Chowk. Additionally, a proposal to start the capture of monkeys in the municipal area was also approved.

Under the leadership of Mayor Rajeev Jain, the meeting saw councillors expressing satisfaction with the ongoing development work in the city. They urged officials to ensure high quality of work and expedite its completion.

The meeting also addressed the issue of improving the cleanliness system by providing necessary resources to the new cleaning contractor and operating road sweeping machines. Councillors requested swift repairs of roads.

Furthermore, the proposals for constructing a Veta Chowk at the Gohana Bypass, handing over the community centers at San Chowk, Bhagwan Mahavir Chowk, and Harsana village to the Panchayat, cleaning of ponds in various villages, and starting the supply of Yamuna water to the villages were passed.

In addition, the proposal to sell three acres of land owned by the Municipal Corporation to Jindal University instead of leasing it was approved. Proposals for the reconstruction of cremation grounds at villages Jat Joshi and Jagdishpur and the maintenance of parks were also passed. The meeting emphasized taking strict action against illegal colonies and constructions.

The meeting was attended by MLA Nikhil Madan, Commissioner Harshit Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Meetu Dhankhar, Anil Doon, Senior Deputy Mayor Rajeev Saroha, Deputy Mayor Manjeet Gehlawat, councillors, and other officials.
